To have the local Animal Humane Societies resume Trap Neuter Return procedures ASAP.

The Issue

Hello. My name is Linda Hoffman and I assist with the animal rescue community to control the pet/cat population in the state of Minnesota/Twin Cities area.  We know that the Trap Neuter Return program has been put on hold due to the pandemic and the locations are back to doing spay and neuter procedures for clients. Why can't the TNR program be started back up?  There is a ongoing grant for TNR and this is frustrating!

We need the Trap Neuter Return Community Cats program started up ASAP like now. There are at least two big "projects" on hold in the Twin Cities area because of the Community Cats program not started up again and, by waiting, is only increasing the chances of more unwanted litters.

There are multiple colonies already reported through the metro and.beyond plus requests for help with smaller neighbor stray cat issues.

In Chaska alone, there has been at least 10 kittens born and found. In Carver, there were two newborn kittens born and found(mama is feral)-this all could have been avoided if the TNR program was in place.  These are just some of the situations and incidents.

We, the rescue community, cannot and should not wait any longer. Please help control the pet population!  This is urgent!!

Thank you for your support. Linda Hoffman on behalf of the rescue community working hard to control the pet population.
