Today is a momentous day.. the TICK has been officially retired. The Heart Foundation announced on their facebook page today. "In 2014 we announced that we were reviewing the Tick Program. After 26 years of developing healthier choices for packaged foods and increasing transparency for shoppers, we have decided to retire the Tick program. We are proud of the achievements Tick has made, including introducing the nutrition information panel on the back of all packaged goods, 13 years before it was mandatory. The reasons behind our decision can be read in full detail here." http://heartfoundation.org.au/news/thank-you-tick-for-the-past-26-years This is FANTASTIC news. I would love to celebrate and we will but first we need to have the very same done to the Health Star Rating system. I believe together we can easily make this happen! All you need to do is join me again by signing this NEW petition >> https://www.change.org/p/australian-government-scrap-the-healthy-star-food-rating-system to have the Health Star Rating system scrapped, forward this message to all your friends and share posts on social media with a link to the petition. Go to your local store and take photos of the ingredients list of products with a high health star rating like Up & Go, yoghurts, cereals and other ridiculous products that certainly don't deserve 4-5 stars. Thank you in advance for your support!! We can change the food system and create a healthier future for Australians and people globally!
