I am hoping to bring more awareness to companies working on hearing restoration and tinnitus so those who suffer can hear again. I've had a mild hearing loss since I was a child and recently found out it has gotten worse. I know of Frequency Therapeutics, Audion, Otonomy, Sound Pharmaceuticals, Mogrify and Hough Ear Institute who are working on drugs to restore hearing and help tinnitus. This huge unmet medical need effects billions of people around the world. Devices like hearing aids and Implants can only do so much. If we can push for change so those suffering can get better treatment that would be amazing! I hope we can all work together so treatment can come soon! I am hoping to show these companies that with so many wanting treatment they will be more open to compassionate and expanded access use to get these therapeutics to more people in need with their trials. I am also hoping that with coverage more research on hearing loss and tinnitus can continue to expand so more and better treatments can come to the public!
