Dear World Citizens,

A new Starbucks Coffee has opened on the CU-Boulder Campus at the University Memorial Center. The contract has a non-compete clause, which means that other venders are not allowed to sell coffee. Celestial Seasonings is a local tea company that has been serving coffee in the UMC for a long time, but has discontinued selling coffee as of April 1st, 2016.

We are looking for signatures to ask appropriate University officials to allow local businesses the same opportunities they give national businesses concerning food contracts. Product competition and consumer choice are vital to any healthy economy.
