Pauline has asked me to relate the following to you all.

"Both Pauline and Joe appreciate your support and endurance over the past number of months. It may seem to you all, that things are at a standstill."

In a manner, they are. "Joe has deteriorated alot in the past few months, and this deterioration has taken its toll on both Pauline and on the fight that they are undergoing. It is a balancing act, and, at the moment, alot of concentration is being placed on Joe's day to day welfare and care.

As Pauline would like to reiterate, to the decision makers, over Joe's future care, the illness of Huntington's is both a disability and a psychiatric illness. Both departments in the HSE need to come together and accept a 50:50 role in determining care for Joe in the future. And sadly, the future, IS NOW."

Pauline knows that you are all behind her, and knows that some are frustrated at the lack of movement in this campaign.

Pauline is, one woman, alone, seven nights a week with Joe. She is tired, frustrated, wore out, and extremely upset, seeing Joe deteriorate so much.

This fight is something that Pauline, wants and wishes to be involved with. It is something that she, with your support, wishes to achieve for, her son, Joe.

Pauline needs both the psychiatric and disability sections of the HSE to come together and to provide funding for Joe, to live in Bloomfield house.

As I have stated before, a lot of work is going on behind the scenes. Above all, Pauline wishes for a campaign, which does not lay blame, at anyone's door. This is always going to be a blame free campaign. It is what it is, and we all need to accept how things are, today, maybe, tomorrow, things will be different.

An event to raise awareness and to highlight this plight, is in the pipeline, phone calls need to be made, and the organisation of the event, carefully planned.

Pauline thanks each and every one of you and will forever be indebted to you all.

Personally, knowing, a little of what is going on behind the scenes, and knowing how physically and mentally tired Pauline is, I would ask you all to stick with this fight. It has been ongoing for four years and as Joe's health deteriorates, it is now, that Pauline needs your support.

Joe, is a person, a gentleman, with feelings and needs. Throughout this fight, we all need to take that into consideration.

Thank you all
