Today, after the news that was recieved by Pauline and Joe, on Monday last, we regrouped. A firm decision was made to promote this petition once again. One extra signature is a huge achievement, but today in the space of 8 or 10 hours over 40 signatures have been added.

Thank you all, this is phenomenal support, and gradually we are getting nearer to the 3,000 mark.

Each signature means so much, and we are throughly glad, that, you, are taking the time to read, and digest this petition, and are taking into consideration, the impact a victory will have on the Doran family.

This is not an easy petition to sign, the scenario of a victory or non victory will impact the Doran family forever.

Joe's Mum Pauline does not want to place her son into longterm care. This, lady, does not want her son to be burdened with the illness of Huntington's. However, as much as we would like to change things, we cannot. Joe is ill, with a disease, that unfortunately, there is no cure for.

Pauline, has already lost her husband and son. Joe and Anne, have lost their Dad and brother.

Life has, without doubt, been cruel to the this family.

To place Joe, in a longterm care facility, is a heart wrenching decision, for, Pauline to make, but she knows, that this decision, is the one which will give Joe the best quality of life, as his illness progresses.

Joe deserves the best care available, and that care is only available in Bloomfield house.

We thank each and everyone of you, for your support. In the coming weeks and months, your support will be called upon, more and more.

We cannot help Pauline with the care of Joe, as due to the nature of the illness, Joe, in his own home, has become reliant on Pauline, and Pauline knows his needs and knows how to care for Joe. She knows when to help Joe, and knows when to leave him be. This, fantastic woman, has learnt this over numerous years, months, weeks, days and hours, of watching her son deteriorate, due to the illness of Huntington's.

In the next few weeks, we hope to support both Pauline and Joe, in their fight to obtain a new "home" for Joe in Bloomfield house.

Alot of different idea's are being considered and, hopefully, with your support, we can help Pauline secure a place for Joe in Bloomfield.

If Pauline is successful in this transition for Joe, she will still need our support. The transition will be painful, will leave a feeling of loss, hurt and devastation.

This is not an easy decision,  for a woman, who has already lost so much, to make.

Thank you all for your continued support
