I am grateful to the United Nations for acknowledging and accepting my short submission concerning the need for international assistance for ordinary whistleblowers who are not fond of fame or media attention but wish to ensure accountability within the state they reside in. I also made the suggestion for a whistleblower database to track local and international response to requests for assistance. This would also ensure data is available to determine which countries are good or bad at addressing whistleblowing concerns. I will publish my submission online in the future for all to access it. I wrote this submission on my own as my fellow whistleblowing colleagues are too busy either talking about how much they have suffered or courting the media. I am ofcourse a little too practical for such time wasting couch discussions. Dr Rita Pal
