Recently Loksabha passed Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill, 2021.
This Bill has patriarchal approach and it does discrimination against LGBTQIA+ community and other individuals.
Here we want to highlight some of the major points :-
1. Single men already can't adopt a baby girl in India but now this Bill also taking away their chance to be the father of a baby girl or any child by this process.

2. It doesn't allow LGBTQIA+ couples to have access to this technology which is discrimination against this marginalized community who is already fighting for many legal and social rights. This Bill imposed the idea that only Heterosexual couples are capable of being parent.

3. Single woman can't become a donor because according to this Bill a woman who can donate the eggs and has atleast 3 years old child can be a donor. It shows patriarchal mindset here.

4. This Bill excludes couples those are living in Live-in relationship.
