It is with great responsibility and respect I write you this letter on behalf of myself and my fellow Canadian citizens. Our concerns are growing around quarantine policy and the future ramifications the COVID-19 vaccine presents. Each signature is a Canadian voice ready to hold policymakers accountable for the continued violation of human rights, and negligence to consider the entirety of information surrounding COVID-19, which is being closely censored. We are citizens and a collective of frontline workers and professionals who are now joining forces to have an inclusive conversation around procedures moving forward. 

We stand specifically against the dangers of implementing a COVID-19  vaccine passport for Canadian citizens, with a vaccine that lacks FDA approval, has bypassed clinical trials, does not ensure future immunity, and is inconclusively effective with the potential to cause severe long-term side effects. We hold the democracy of Canadian policymakers accountable to decisions being made with refutable grounds and violating the following rights on a mass scale.

Section 6 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms: Every citizen of Canada has the right to enter, remain in, and leave Canada.

Section 2a of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms: Canadians have freedom of conscience and religion.

Section 15 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms: Canadians are not allowed to be discriminated against based on, for example, mental or physical ability (health).

Section 14.1 of the Quarantine Act: Any qualified person authorized by the Minister may, to determine whether a traveler has a communicable disease or symptoms of one, use any screening technology authorized by the Minister THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE THE ENTRY into the traveler's body of any instrument or other foreign body.

By allowing Canada to mandate vaccine passports, you inadvertently allow schools, employment, and other sectors to continue allowing COVID-19 authoritative control. This disempowers and strips our right to make choices about our health, passing those decisions to drug companies to vaccinate our bodies based on plausibility. Vaccinating an entire population where the majority of citizens are healthy and will recover, is morally corrupt and irresponsible. As of April 1, 2021, there are 37,989,071 Canadians to consider. The unfortunate deaths of 23,002 people due to COVID-related issues do not make vaccine passports an appropriate response. We support vaccination for those who wish to participate freely and refuse any policy that requires validation of vaccination.

We, the citizens, object to what the vaccine contains, stands for, and that Canada has overlooked violations of an individual's right to choose or refuse medical care. Quarantine policy is based on the number of cases, accumulated with a testing system that has been proven highly inaccurate. Mandatory masking is still in place despite also proving ineffective in containing the spread of this virus. For over a year, our news promotes the fatal effects of non-compliance with regulations, versus educating the masses about natural health and immune-boosting remedies. Our media sources have been censored, as well as, our electronic devices tracked for any reference, opinion, or information that does not comply with the commonly communicated narrative, and those who do ask questions, are ostracized (MPP Randy Hillier). The effects on our society to handle rising mental health issues, crippling financial debt and battle unknown long-term effects have been grossly overlooked. Families have had to adjust and struggle, young children left largely under socialized and older citizens isolated and disconnected. This in itself can and will create further health issues that the emotional and mental toll of the past year has had on our overall wellbeing.

In regards to the travel restrictions, quarantine requests, and vaccine passports, we regard Canada’s efforts as inconsistent and hugely unnecessary for citizens to be penalized for traveling after proving negative for COVID-19. After a year of complying with the quarantine procedure, we value our freedoms and consider travel not to be a luxury for many, but a means of work, growth, and our right to decide how and when we move about the world. If PCR testing is accurate, this should be a nonissue and brings into question who exactly is profiting from the ripple effects of a year-long pandemic.

As a country that stands for “The true North strong and free” in our very anthem, we collectively refuse vaccine passports. Regulating movement and freedom to travel will affect more than simply travel, and set a precedent for those who wish to remain unvaccinated. Canada is built on a foundation that honors different cultures, backgrounds, and religions and we must extend this diversity in choice to our bodies and protect and nurture them accordingly. We expect you to examine the entire evidence-based medical information related to COVID-19 and have included some additional resources below that have not been circulating our news. We leave you with this reminder: The first principle of medical and health care practice is to do no harm. This vaccine stands to do just that.
