After many taxpayer dollars and demands on the residents of Healdsburg to get their climate act together, the City has now placed Measure O on the ballot. Proponents of Measure O would like voters to believe that constructing high density housing and limiting parking will forward their climate goals and will not impact existing residents. They would like residents to believe that the GMO and Measure P and SB-9 and SB-10 and unlimited affordable housing permits are insufficient and they can only really make progress to improve Healdsburg if the voters will grant the government power to issue an unlimited number of building permits over hundreds of acres straddling Healdsburg Ave.
Above is an excerpt from the report purchased by the taxpayers of Healdsburg so the City Council could better envision what the future of Healdsburg could hold if only they could relieve the voters of the burden of democratically determined growth. It's 254 units on two lots across the street from each other. The document proposes 762 people with 276 parking spots with an average of three people per household.
Construction is, in fact, not good for the environment. Hundreds of new residents will bring many more cars and much worse traffic through Healdsburg. I hope you will read all about it:
