Sepp Blatter's comments that racism on the pitch should be resolved with a handshake are disgraceful. As FIFA president, he has a responsibility to lead the fight against racism, instead he is ignorantly suggesting that it can be swept under the carpet.
As a football fan, I'm disgusted that Blatter could get away with making such comments and remain head of the most important institution in the game.
Coke, Adidas, Emirates and Visa must take a moral stand and withdraw their sponsorship or publicly state that they won't renew it until Blatter is gone.
Coca Cola says: “Diversity is one of our core values and we do not tolerate discrimination at all.”
Adidas says: “We are totally opposed to racism in any sport.”
They must show that these values mean something by withdrawing their sponsorship until Blatter resigns.
