Hello fellow students of Chevron HCC A&M Engineering Academy! Change needs to be made to say the least. As future engineers on pace to go to A&M, Professor Suat Namli is hindering our ability to learn and grow. He shows up late to class as if it is an afterthought. He doesn't even teach throughout the whole duration of class. In fact, he puts up problems and expects to know how to do brand new concepts without teaching us before. Even when he explains his steps, he leaves out critical steps and he goes faster than what our brains can comprehend. There is no structure in his way of teaching. His lectures are all over the place and because of this it is hard to follow along. Don't get me wrong he seems like a smart individual who really has a passion for calculus, but unfortunately he is not gifted in spreading that knowledge to his students. We have all of his class recordings saved which back this statement. He does a terrible job at reviewing for upcoming tests. Due to this, our grades take a toll. Before transitioning to A&M, we have strict GPA and time requirements to meet and this class taught by Suat Namli is not helping.
