Send John Oliver to Yemen

Send John Oliver to Yemen
The Issue
John Oliver recently had a full television show dedicated to alternative party candidates, most likely to scare people out of voting for them and to help Hillary Clinton's dying candidacy.
Oliver is known to have spread fear to the hilt about Donald Trump, so far as to create special hats to make Trump change his last name to his original family name. Usually when wealthy celebrities slam ultra-conservative candidates, they do it under the guise of caring about poor people and marginalized segments of the population, such as Muslims and immigrants. The author of this petition is an American Muslim and is no Trump fan, but is not content with the patronizing, condescending attitude of pseudo-liberal wolves in sheep's clothing like John Oliver who, as Malcolm X perfectly describes in his autobio, pretend to care about minorities while being no different than the conservative who shows you its teeth.
While Gary Johnson may be an easy target to make jest of, Jill Stein has a far more impressive acumen than Johnson when it comes to foreign policy, the economy, and more. When John Oliver made jest of her, he resorted to hyperbolic polemics and half-truths to tear down the only candidate who not only stands for world peace, but would actually do justice to the minorities John Oliver pretends to care about.
Let's forget about how the government passed multiple stimulus packages which the privately-owned banking cartel known as the Federal Reserve gladly printed the money to cover, which I will concede to Mr. Oliver proves his point, as the Fed is so corrupt and greedy, they'll only print money to enrich themselves, not to get students out of debt that they cannot legally declare bankruptcy on. Stein's proposal would have to factor in putting the power of money creation back into the hands of the people via Congress as the Constitution demands.
But forget about that for a moment. Mr. Oliver, imagine you are a mother living in Gaza, Yemen, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, or Syria, and your child just got killed by a missile right in front of you. Would you care for a moment if the U.S. president who dropped that bomb (U.S. dropped 23K bombs in 2015 alone) was a Republican or Democrat? Would you say "I'm glad it was a feminist Democrat killing my kid instead of a sexist Republican?" Of course not.
Conversely, the people of Yemen who are on the brink of starvation thanks to U.S. support of Saudi Arabia do not care if Jill Stein has stupid songs. All they want is for the blockade to be lifted and for the U.S.-backed Saudi coalition to stop bombing them, they don't care who does it.
You're right, Mr. Oliver. We don't need a perfect candidate. Let's stop murdering children first, then we can discuss the other trivial issues later. These war crimes are a stain on our humanity and how dare we call ourselves civilized when we wreak such havoc around the globe.
John Oliver released an interesting segment on the Houthi rebels a long time ago, before Saudi Arabia started bombing Yemen relentlessly. The trademark of the wealthy pseudo-liberal is that while they claim to support tolerance of minorities, they often exhibit the same bigoted orientalism as their conservative counterparts. "Hey, look! Brown people fighting each other and saying bad things about America while living in huts in poor countries!" is essentially what the original piece on Yemen was saying, aside from priming the public to support America's foreign policy position on Yemen, making Mr. Oliver the warm up act to eventual State Department propaganda.
Since Mr. Oliver is willing to play politics with the lives of people in third world countries, maybe he should go live in Yemen for a while. Then he'll have to take a good look in the mirror before he decides to do a propaganda piece for the two party establishment. Living in a third world country will be a wake up call for him - because what Yemen is going through right now is no joke, and Hillary Clinton is a big recipient of donations from the Saudi royal family.
Mr. Oliver, myself, and most Americans have it pretty good compared to Yemen. While I live in a 1-bedroom apartment in a low-income neighborhood, Mr. Oliver and I both have a roof over our head, air conditioning, a refrigerator with food, running water, and more. He will not feel the effects of a Hillary Clinton presidency, but Yemen will. It's easy for him to treat politics like a game, but in Yemen the politics of America determines life or death. Unlike Oliver, I'm not willing to let my way of ease go to my head while the people in Yemen are starving.
Hillary Clinton will continue the alarmingly high level of bloodshed around the globe, which Clinton shares in common with Drumpf. The only candidate who stands for peace and would stop the U.S. support of oppressive states like Saudi Arabia and Israel is Jill Stein. I'd personally rather hear Jill Stein's songs than see another war photo of another dead Yemeni child killed by American weapons sold by the American government.
Mr. Oliver, you may have some sort of pithy, witty response to this petition. I'm not looking for that, and that shouldn't be how you respond. What you need to do is take seriously the crisis in Yemen, and how Obama and Hillary are responsible for it. If you don't want to live in Yemen for 8 months, at the very least use your show to find a legitimate solution to end the blockade in Yemen and end U.S. arming of Saudi Arabia, and you must do it without parroting State Department talking points. As far as I see, voting Jill Stein is the only short-term answer to ending the wars.
The long term answer is not using a TV show to discourage millions of Americans from making the changes necessary in our world so that our children and grandchildren inherit something decent.
I went to Iraq last year, and as someone who grew up in America and accepted Islam in my 20s despite growing up in an anti-Islam environment, visiting a third world country really changed my life. To have poor kids and orphans beg for me for money was just heartbreaking - America owes Iraq billions in reparations.
Maybe living in Yemen will be what it takes to wake up John Oliver. If he has a heart, there is no way he could live as one among the poorest people in the Middle East, yet experience their immense hospitality, and then come to America only to vote for the candidate that will continue to bomb their children.
This is a movement - it is bigger than Jill Stein. I don't care who stops dropping bombs on children, be it President Stein or President Exotic, as long as they stop war, then we can move forward as a human race to discuss more trivial issues. Mr. Oliver brought up the most irrelevant topics of Dr. Stein's campaign, in addition to misrepresenting her on several issues. It was a hit piece.
By signing this petition, you are calling on John Oliver of HBO's Last Week Tonight to visit a third world country, such as Yemen, to get the wake up call he needs to stop being a shill for war criminals like Hillary Clinton.
