Its time that the show runners atleast accepted that the show was a major let down due to poor decisions and script writing. The decision to cut down seasons and episodes and wrapping up the story in mere 13 episodes made it feel very rushed.

The focus of the story shifted from fore shadowing and creative writing to just subversion and shock value. Even GRRM has mentioned that he could have aliens come and kill all to subvert all expectations but thats doesn't mean its a good end. All the years of build up and foreshadowing only to see disregard there own story purely for shock value.

 This show has again fallen into typical soap opera category with unnecessary drama, contradictory scenes in a span of few episodes and super thick plot armour for the main characters. The fans started watching only because it wasnt like the other shows.

Unless the fans unite and start raising a voice against such sore disappointments, all future shows and movies will continue on the same path. And as usual, their statement will be that it was due the unrealistic expectations of the fans!
