The police is there to protect and serve and while they are to make sure no unncessary harm comes to humans during any contact with an officer, this should be handed down to their pets as well.

Leon Rosby's pet was unmercifully killed in front of the owner and the public that had gathered. The HPD stands by what their officers did, but says nothing about what COULD have been done to prevent the killing. The use of their gun should not be the gut reaction when in that situation and something has to be changed or it'll keep happening.
