In Hawaii's Democratic Presidential Preference Poll, Hawaii Democrats voted an overwhelming 70% in favor of Bernie Sanders.  However, with one exception, all of Hawaii's superdelegates are either uncommitted or have committed support to Hillary Clinton.  What we ask for is simple: Honor the votes of your constituents.

We realize superdelegates who are uncommitted often do not support a candidate until the national convention, and those who have committed often do not switch until the national convention or until all of the states have voted.  However, given Hawaii's overwhelming 70% support for Bernie Sanders, in order to represent the people of Hawaii, please commit to Bernie Sanders as soon as possible, without waiting for the convention or for other states to vote.  This will show us that you truly represent us, and are willing to do what is right.

It is up to you to decide if you want 70% of Hawaii’s Democrats to stand with you, or against you.  If you do agree to support Bernie, and hopefully soon, we will be pleased to continue to stand behind you as proud members of your electorate. If not, we will find someone who will follow the principles democracy and represent the will of the people. We will also work tirelessly to spread word of your choice to the 70% of Hawaii Democrats who voted for Bernie Sanders.
