Someone at SEGA sometime this year mentioned something about wanting to see a system that lets you play every Mainstream Sonic game from at the time. Fortunately that shouldn't be too difficult with the Switch 2 in particular thanks to Nintendo Switch 2 Online which has to offer even games from SEGA systems back when they were in the console business, plus somewhere down the line we can expect the GameCube re-releases of the Sonic Adventures game along with Sonic Heroes and Shadow The Hedgehog to join the lineup of GameCube games. Need I mention the Switch 2 is backwards compatible with mainstream Sonic games that released on the Switch 1, which includes re-releases of Sonic Colours and Sonic Generations.

But in order for something like this to be fulfilled, it would mean even re-releasing the infamous Sonic 06 with it's glitches, so maybe the fanmade more polished version of the game done by ChaosX could be sold to SEGA, along with having some additional changes being made as well. As for the other mainstream Sonic games meanwhile, we should be able to play the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed if that game doesn't ever get re-released through Nintendo Switch 2 Online if ever it ends up offering Wii games, but we are going to need a re-release of Sonic Lost World somewhere down the line, of which would even be something to be multi-platformed and take out the Nintendo references on the Sony and Microsoft systems. Speaking of Sony and Microsoft systems meanwhile this would be a challenge with offering every single mainstream Sonic game, since they don't seem to have a counterpart to Nintendo Switch Online.
