There's this only one church in a small town in New Jersey that has a menorah lighting ceremony each Hanukkah. I feel sorry for my adopted town of New Providence. Because the town feels it can't put a Menorah in one of the town parks. Because of some antisemitism incident in 2006 or 2007 with what council members of that town had done. Me and my mother think it would be a great idea if New Providence plans to put a menorah in one of the town parks. There's also other towns with no Synagogues that place menorah's in the town parks. Examples are Bernardsville, Berkeley Heights, Mountainside, Chatham, Madison, since I believe Jews want a right to have a menorah placed in their towns, and to promote peace in the community and not let antisemitism occur in these communities, which unfortunately I’ve seen articles about swastikas being drawn on schools, examples would be Scotch Plains, Summit and Westfield. Me and my mom, who grew up in New Providence think it would be nice if New Providence could do the same thing, like those other nearby surrounding town communities. I feel this is just unacceptable for antisemitism behaviors in my community, as well as an antisemitism incident in New Providence and a pastor felt that he had to put a menorah on the church lawn, I feel that pastor shouldn’t have to do this, I believe members of the Jewish community, could have fought for their rights to have a menorah in a public place. I have no idea what is going on with New Providence and other communities, I do feel worried, if there could be people in these communities doing stuff like sitting at a table saying hateful stuff about a Jew or a person in a different religion or ethnicity, which nobody knows about and I don’t know about, as a great person Dr. M. Ali Chaudry, president of the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge had explained in a video. But it does upset me, if someone writes to me in a message about hateful racist stuff about people’s religions and ethnicities. I also think it’s nuts how the government and town is all fucked up. It’s crazy how Al Morgan became the mayor since 2015. Because he already was the mayor of New Providence, from 1999 to 2006. It’s like if Ali Chaudry became the mayor of Basking Ridge again. The town, government and mayors have always been republicans. New Providence doesn’t want democratic mayors. It seems the town never had mayors that are woman or people of color, just male republican mayors. There’s only 2 elementary schools, and places have turned into banks.
