Have Joe Frasure's Case Viewed by the US Department of Justice

The Issue

The shooting of Joe Frasure will haunt the US Department of Justice for as long as they investigate his case. Unjustified deadly force is a serious violation of Officer's duties to protect and serve. The Prosecutor stated many Discrepancies during her press conference, Saying he was shot on the right side of his head and the bullet went through, when that was not the case, prematurely stating injuries before an autopsy had even been performed or without seeing the victim himself. She also claimed that his headlights were blinding the officers when in fact it was the officers flashlights that were emitting the only light besides what was coming from the buildings. The officers were clearly out of the way of danger, shots should have NEVER been fired that night. If we can have this case reviewed we think that it will help put an End to Qualified Immunity. In the United States, qualified immunity is a legal principle that grants government officials performing discretionary functions immunity from civil suits unless the plaintiff shows that the official violated "clearly established statutory or constitutional rights of which a reasonable person would have known".

Qualified Immunity Protects our Government officials from being held FULLY RESPONISBLE for their ACTIONS, such as these officers involved in Joes case. We are calling to END QUALIFIED IMMUNITY in the United States and MAJOR POLICE REFORM throughout our Nation.

Now is the Time to Act because we are sick of our Criminal Justice system taking advantage of people, Profiling people based on economic status and or Race. The Police Brutality and killings Have to Stop. Officers should be held to the same standards as anyone else...they are not above the law, they ARE the Law.

We have a Facebook page setup under JUSTICE FOR JOE if you would like to see still frames or slowed down full versions of the body cam footage.

Please Help us get Justice for Joe by signing our petition to get this case reviewed by the US Department of Justice.

Thank you.
