Currently, there are no restrictions on the number of classes that horses may be shown in at competitions. While many people take wonderful care of these amazing animals, there are some who put their own interests ahead of those of the horses. At almost every show some horses compete in too many classes which is harmful to their health and welfare. This is due to a lack of education or empathy by the people responsible for these amazing animals. SafeHorse is advocating for reasonable class limitations, as shown in the chart provided. This is in the best interests of every horse that competes. This is also important to show the world that we are serious about Social License to Operate. There are countries that do impose class limitations, it is time that the USA and Canada do what is best for our sporting partners, and for the horses that do so much for us.

 It is vitally important that we obtain as many signatures as possible to ensure that this proposal is put into the rule book. Please sign and encourage others to do the same, for the sake of the horses.
