The Issue

Bradford County, Pennsylvania is shocked by recent plans for a massive data center in the heart of our municipality. The proposed data center is a large-scale environmental disruption, and may endanger local flora and fauna. It also contributes to increased carbon emissions (being responsible for an estimated 2% of global CO2 emissions), harming not just our wildlife, but our air and rivers as well. Noise and light pollution stemming from data centers are widely known to

affect human and wildlife health. The majority of the promised economic benefits are only felt by the corporations involved. In towns and cities where data centers have been established, there is irrefutable evidence showing minimal positive impacts on local economies. The scale of this project threatens to alter not just our environment, but our daily lives as well. This development could open the door to more projects, inflicting even greater damage to the people of Bradford County.

The charm of our area lies in its close-knit community, natural beauty, and rural tranquility. We call upon our local government, city planners, and private residents to protect our communities from this unsustainable and invasive development. We want our local governments to vote against any ordinance changes that accommodate any data center projects.

Stand with us by signing this petition to voice your opposition to the proposed data center and to show support for preserving nature in Bradford County, PA.

Together, we can make a diference.
