Petition updateSave the UK by forgetting BREXIT and Rejoining the EUThe BREXIT Future Economic situation is worsening daily

The problem with BREXIT is that the UK is still IN the EU and people only worry when their pockets are hurt. So all warnings of impending doom from all points of the azimuth of EU exit have hardly come about as yet.
In the Observer/Guardian today, an article cited Osborne warning that 'the Treasury’s best minds had reached a terrible conclusion: that leaving the European Union would knock 6% off economic growth by 2030, costing each household £4,300 a year'.
Then Bank of England governor Mark Carney had already noted that 'the UK was already following the trajectory mapped out by the Treasury and that the UK had already lost almost 2% of predicted growth and 4% from household incomes. This translates into a £900 loss per household. Most of the damage, he said, was Brexit-related. The result is that the economy is £40bn smaller than it would have been without Brexit; it’s possible to show that this amounts to a £15bn loss of tax revenue, or £300m a week.'
Then figures from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) documenting foreign direct investment showed a 90% collapse in flows to the UK in 2017 compared with the previous year... showing how fragile Britain’s reputation among corporate investors had become, and how positive sentiment can evaporate almost overnight.'
The Guardian/Observer article continued 'Large domestic companies are of the same mind. They are the main losers from the Brexit vote and the costly trade and customs arrangements it could usher in. They are the most averse to making investment decisions until the situation is clearer. And even then, if it becomes obvious that a hard Brexit is the most likely result, with a customs deal no better than Canada’s, they might ditch their investment plans altogether.'
I am so sad that the UK has not woken up to these economic events, let alone the social catastrophe of reduced mobility, more bureaucracy when traveling, fewer educational opportunities for UK students and less income from the lucrative inbound student trade. Then the foreign uncertainty with a lunatic in the White House and Russia rattling sabres on Europe's front door.
Finally no major political leader supports the Remainers with only uncertain and lukewarm statements coming from its two leaders - Corbyn and May.
