In October 1985, Rachel Leighton/Diamondback made her debut in "Captain America", volume one, #310.  Originally starting off as a villain for the Serpent Society, she soon becomes a hero and she becomes a close ally to Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, the leader of the super-hero team the Avengers.  She has also been a member of such teams as the Initiative and S.H.I.E.L.D.  While Diamondback doesn't have any super-powers, she is armed with "throwing diamonds" that usually are laced with acid or tipped with poison and is a skilled gymnast and martial artist.

Despite the character's popularity, she has yet to be made into a new action figure for the ongoing "Marvel Legends" toyline and the character consistently gets mentioned in fans' wish-lists as a Marvel Comics character that fans hope get made into a new toy.  To date, Hasbro has yet to make a new action figure of Diamondback.

We, the fans, would like to see Hasbro make a new figure of Diamondback for the "Marvel Legends" toyline on a new body mold, throwing diamond accessories, open hands, alternate fist hands, and to include at least two head sculpts - one with brown hair and an alternate head with her magenta hair color - for fans to add to their collections.  Fans also hope that, when a new Diamondback figure is made, that it will not be an exclusive and that it will be sold in all stores and on all websites for fans to buy.
