In 1972, Marvel Comics introduced their version of Count Dracula in "The Tomb of Dracula" #1, written by Gerry Conway and pencil art by Gene Colan.  The series ran from April 1972 to August 1979 and is notable for introducing such famous Marvel Comics characters as Blade the Vampire Slayer and Hannibal King.

In 2024, Hasbro released a "Marvel Legends: Strange Tales" figure of Dracula, but it was not based on the 1970s version by Gene Colan and fans were left disappointed that a classic Dracula figure was not part of the toyline.  Although a classic Dracula action figure was made by the company Toy Biz as a part of their "Marvel Legends Monsters" boxed set, Hasbro has not made a classic, sold-separately classic figure of Dracula based on Gene Colan's art to date for their "Marvel Legends" toyline.

We, the fans, would like to see Hasbro make a new figure of Dracula based on the art of Gene Colan with alternate heads (one with a neutral/calm expression and another angry head sculpt that shows his fangs), fist hands, alternate open hands to show his clawed fingernails, a comic accurate cape with the high collar, some mist accessories, a tall and non-skinny body mold, and a vampire bat accessory.   We, the fans, hope that Hasbro will consider making a new classic action figure of Count Dracula is based on his appearance in the 1970s "The Tomb of Dracula" comic book series for fans to finally add to their collections.
