For several years, Hasbro has been making all-new action figures based on the various superheroes and super-villains that appear in the monthly comic books by Marvel Comics, such as the Avengers, Spider-Man and the X-Men. In 2019, Hasbro started releasing much more figures of the X-Men, including a retro/vintage wave of popular X-Men characters in a uniform from different time periods, such as Cyclops in his 1980s X-Factor costume and Storm in her early 1990s uniform.

Storm is one of the most popular X-Men characters, yet it has been several years since a new six-inch figure has been made for the character in her classic costume from her first appearance in the "Giant Size X-Men" comic in 1975. While the new '90s uniform Storm figure has been met with praise by fans, fans have been disappointed by the new figure's cape and also disappointed a First Appearance Storm figure has yet to be confirmed.

In late 2020, Hasbro may lose the license to make all new action figures based on the Marvel Comics characters. Whether Hasbro is able to renew their license to make more Marvel toys or not, we, the fans, hope that Hasbro does eventually create an all-new First Appearance Storm action figure for a future wave of "Marvel Legends: X-Men" figures as soon as possible.
