Re-open unused wards of University Hospital of Hartlepool during Covid 19 pandemic
The Issue
The government are building new make shift hospitals in London, Birmingham and Manchester to provide care for the daily rapidly increasing number of patients affected by the Covid 19 pandemic.
The University Hospital of Hartlepool currently provides patients with a wide range of diagnostic services and outpatient clinics, day cases and low risk surgeries however many wards remain unused.
With the increasing numbers of confirmed cases of Covid 19 within the Tees Valley area, re-opening the unused wards of the University Hospital of Hartlepool would provide more local care and tratement capacity and help to ease the demands on our wonderful NHS caused by Covid 19.
