CITY OF HARTFORD IMPOSES UNECESSARY TAX DURING COVID-19

The Issue

CITY OF HARTFORD IMPOSING UNNECESSARY TAX ON HOMEOWNERS DURING COVID19 PANDEMIC OUTBREAK

The City of Hartford is pushing forward with a $217,000 sidewalk construction project despite a signed petition of the 35 affected homeowners.  Attendance at meetings, calls, emails: the City Council has ignored them all. This project was to be completed and paid for by the Developer 27 years ago.  Now, in the midst of the biggest financial crisis this Country has seen in decades, the City wants to move forward NOW at the homeowners expense.

We have all been financially devastated by the COVID19 outbreak and the President is doing everything he can to put money in our pockets.  Meanwhile, the City is looking for a way to take our money, for a luxury its residents can’t afford and don’t need at this crucial time.  No one can predict when our economy will be recovered and it makes no sense that the City can’t see that.  I guess the answer is, the City of Hartford is happy to spend taxpayer money!

If you agree the City of Hartford should postpone this project for at least 1 year, please sign this petition.  We will be forwarding this petition to all State elected officials.

Thank you so much for your support.
