A fox den has been filled with cement at Pine Ridge Elementary within the Cherry Creek district in Aurora, Colorado that housed a mother fox and her kit. Burying animals alive sends a damaging message to the children of the community not only about our relationship with domesticated and wild animals but also on actions and responsibility. If something happens in life that isn't ideal you don't bury it, and you most certainly don't kill whatever it is that's in the way. Responsibility is a valuable life lesson for young people and I implore you, Mr. Bull, to right this horrific situation by removing the cement and having the animals properly relocated. No fingers need be pointed, nor statements made of what was known or not known by the district at the time of the incident. What matters is that the facts are known now and the children are fully aware and are watching. Mr. Bull, please take this opportunity to lead by example and demonstrate true humanity and responsibility. Thank you for your time.
