Thank you for supporting this petition and this is an update to inform that Mr. Todd Campbell, Sr. Team Leader for Harry and David's, replied, "I am writing to tell you some good news. I’ve learned the functionality you requested was already in process so you should be seeing this option very soon. We value your opinion and want to thank you for contacting us."  I look forward to being able to order again from Harry and David's once the Title drop field displays MR/MR and MRS/MRS.

I went to the Harry and David's website to order a Christmas gift for my married friends, who are a a gay couple, and the drop down list of "Titles" included nine options: MR/MRS, MR/MS, MRS, MR, DR, MS, MISS, DR/MR, and DR/MRS.  I was unable to find the option of MR/MR for my friends order and wrote customer service at Harry and David's explaining that this reflects a lack of respect for the marital status of same-sex couples.  The customer service representative responded that due to space limitations, they are unable to include the options of MR/MR and MRS/MRS to the drop down list of titles.  I suggest that this is a poor excuse and that, if the true issue is one of size, then there are two options which are not as essential to include: MR/MRS and MR/MS are interchangeable, as are also MS and MISS.  Therefore, if Harry and David's gave equal measure of respect to MR/MRS, MR/MR, and MRS/MRS, then they should find a programmer that can solve the issue of size, or replace MR/MS and either MS or MISS with the more consequential MR/MR and MRS/MRS.

The new and more inclusive drop down list (if limited to 9 options) would then include: MR/MRS, MR/MR, MRS/MRS, MRS, MR, DR, MISS, DR/MR, DR/MRS.

Thank you for supporting this petition with your signature and boycotting Harry & David's, Wolferman's & Cushman's, and their parent company 1-800-FLOWERS until this issue is resolved with the addition of MR/MR and MRS/MRS available to the titles drop down list.
