The responsible pet owners are being forced to live without companions that suit them all because the county has decided that the breed they love is dangerous and can not be managed. The exact opposite is true! The pit bull classification includes many breeds still allowed in the community, and not others with no evidence to support how one is more or less dangerous than the others! ALL dogs and their owners need guidelines, but to completely forbid a breed is offensive to all pet owners who strive for their animals to be good members of our pet community! For now it is pit bull breeds, tomorrow it is dogs all together. Instead of banning the breed require better stipulations for the owners such as yearly temperament testing, sterilization of adults canines, general obedience class etc. Give the people living in Harrison county the opportunity to welcome back America's once most beloved breeds!!!
