Exposure of My Dog's Death #JusticeForFachi

The Issue

On Monday July 11, 2016 my dog, a 7 year old Saint Bernard named Fachi, was found dead on my outside patio by my dog walker in my apartment at La Masion River Oaks.  The management company of my building, Greystar, denies putting him outside but I certainly did not do it.  I paid hundreds of dollars per month to ensure my dog's comfort and happiness by using a dog walker Mon-Fri while I went to work, paying very high utility bills year around to keep my home very cool for him, keeping him on a Natural Balance diet to ensure his good health as he got older, etc.  I got Fachi when he was 8 1/2 weeks old and he was a huge part of my life.  He died tragically at Age 7.  Maintenance entered my unit unauthorized that day to change a smoke alarm because on that same morning, I spoke with La Masion staff and confirmed replacement of the smoke alarm to occur on Saturday, 7/16/16.  Greystar says, "Our staff had no involvement in the pet’s death. A valued team member briefly entered the apartment unit to make a quick and simple repair. The employee noticed the dog was on the balcony but did not sense the dog was in any danger. The dog did not appear to be in any distress. The employee addressed the maintenance item and exited the apartment unit within minutes. The employee never touched the dog, did not come into contact with the dog and certainly never placed the dog on the balcony. The employee naturally assumed the dog was temporarily placed on the balcony. The employee was unaware that the pet had already been on the balcony for several hours."  Yet, I live alone and I had a lengthy discussion about scheduling the repair for 7/16/16 so I COULD BE HOME when maintenance entered my unit.  Since my dog's death, other tenants have approached me about similar unauthorized entries into their apartment by maintenance when they were not home and their pets were inside.  Sign this petition to expose Greystar and demand that they change thier polices and procedures to ensure the safety of pets living on the property at La Masion River Oaks.  They refuse to accept any responsiblity for my dog's death.  See my story that aired on KHOU here: http://www.khou.com/news/woman-demands-answers-after-finding-dog-dead-on-balcony-1/272386080 and the Houston Chronicle Article: http://www.chron.com/houston/article/Dog-found-dead-on-apartment-porch-owner-wants-8381224.php
