After the terrible defeat at the recent General election, instead of attacking the Tories on their destructive policies the U.K. Labour Party has descended into chaos and tribal warfare. It has to stop.

We call upon EVERY Labour Party politician and member from the Centre Left through to the far left to set aside their differences and unite behind WHOEVER is elected Labour leader, whether that be Jeremy Corbyn, Andy Burnham, Yvette Cooper or Liz Kendall.  Far from being an effective opposition, fighting among ourselves and tearing our party apart is only going to give more oxygen to the Tories who we should ALL be fighting.

It is time for Labour supporters from opposite ends of the spectrum to stop attacking and insulting each other. Likewise talks of "coups" and legal challenges by senior politicians is frankly disgraceful.  It is time for everyone to grow up and prove to the electorate that far from not being able to organise the proverbial pee up in a brewery, the Labour Party is actually the credible force that it once was and is fit to run the country!

The process for electing a new leader has descended into the embarrassing and humiliating.  This process was agreed by the leadership contenders - otherwise they would not have entered the race. To now try and change the rules midway through an election seemingly because it is not going in your favour, is well, sickening. Yes, clearly there have been some Tory infiltrations. However, if you set up a process you have to see it through to the end and THEN change it.

People whose only crime is to be  "Floating voter" are being purged. Surely, the Labour party wants to embrace floating voters? This purging has to end.

If you LOVE or care about the Labour Party, you will stop this bitching immediately. You will stop talks of a coup. You will stop talks of legal challenges. You will stop the attacks on comrades who just happen to have a different vision to you. By harnessing our differences and working together, we can unite and WIN the next General election.

Whoever wins the election needs to be given a FULL two years to prove that they are credible and resonating with the wider public. IF by that point they are repeatedly behind in the polls, then we would hope that they would do the decent thing and fall on their sword to give the party the chance to unite behind a new leader. We would also hope that the party would take steps at that point to address the leadership issue.
