This year the class of 2020 seniors at Harmony Public School  have been extremely affected by the changes COVID-19 has caused. As a result our senior banquet, senior trip, prom, graduation, our pep rally, and “senior experience,” have all been cancelled. Although the effects of COVID19 were unforeseen the seniors at Harmony Public Schools feel that it is extremely unfair to cancel our physical graduation as a whole. As a solution the district has offered to give us a “virtual graduation.” 
The seniors in turn are not happy with this solution because we feel that the district is not doing everything they can to ensure we have a memorable senior year despite the circumstances. Our senior class has raised a lot of money to go towards senior activities including graduation, and if we aren’t even having a graduation where will all that money go?  
The seniors of Harmony Public Schools are asking that we have a physical graduation sometime in the month of July.

Our Solution: Allow each Harmony to host a graduation ceremony outdoors to promote social distancing. The ceremonies can take place at locations such as football stadiums/fields, outdoor recreation areas, parks,etc. An outdoor ceremony will allow the "traditional" graduation experience, but space to properly and efficiently social distance.
