We, residents of 4th Ward, Kottangal Panchayat, Kulathoor P O, Mallappally Taluk, Pathanamthitta District, Kerala would like to bring your attention to the environmental damage of the ecosystem surrounding of Myledupara Hill at 4th Ward, Kottangal GramaPanchayat, Mallappally Taluk, Pathanamthitta District, Kerala State. The Myledupara Hills lying in 4th and 5th ward of Kottangal Grama Panchayat which is around 50 degree+ sloppy in my assumptions. Now there is an alarming damage  to the ecosystems of Myledupara Hills, where the Panchayat Office building, Post Office, Community centers and several residential homes situated.  A water tank for public water distribution is also situated in the top of the hill. The construction of a new road to the hill by a quarry owner which is situated in the opposite side of the hill.  They got approved for quarrying in survey 61/1-1 part, 63/1-2 part, 61/1 part of Kottangal Village. Now they're quarrying in non approved survey numbers. The new road construction is very close to office building of Kottangal Panchayat. The road construction is a namesake and the quarry may extended to the residential area. Based on public complaints,the Grama Panchayat Secretary issued Stop Memo on 23rd December 2020. But still they're quarrying, it may because of silent consent from concerned authorities. If the new road construction approved by concerned authorities, our residential area, the quality of life of the people 
in this area may severely threatened.
The public is afraid of landslide in rainy season. The noise and dust significantly affected and totally disturb the peace of the community and expose nearby residents to the negative health effects. Totally damage the ecosystem and worsen the status of public life in the area. The contamination and disruption of the water supply in the well on nearby houses. A big threat to the quantity and quality of our well water. Water is more precious for life than rock. Quality of the Air we breathe Fresh Air is now Dust Air. Traffic, noise & dust. Foreseeable decrease in property values. Really we may get affected. We nearby residents humbly requesting to allow us to live in our own village peacefully without fear of landslide.....please.
