Stop the destruction of Park Road green space and trees

Stop the destruction of Park Road green space and trees
The Issue
Haringey Council is proposing that a block of six flats be built on the green space adjacent to Ramsey Court on Park Road, Crouch End (opposite Hornsey Health Centre).
This would result in the destruction of the only green pocket of land on what is a very polluted road, plus the removal of at least three mature trees. It is currently a habitat for both birds and bats, and is used recreationally by Ramsey Court residents and their children.
The site can only be accessed from Park Road, and if building went ahead, there would be major disruption on what is a very busy transport link for at least 18 months. Queuing traffic would generate even more air pollution. It would also create an enormous amount of dust pollution opposite a busy community health centre.
Features such as the Ramsey Court green space are what make Crouch End the special place to live in that it is. There has already been a lot of building and redevelopment in Crouch End over the past few years, and this would place further pressure on its infrastructure, and take away from the character of the local area.
Please sign this petition to tell Haringey Council to reconsider building on this land, because the loss of this green space would be a tragic and irreversible event.
