Many signatories of the petition have noted that they and their families choose to use Park Road's swimming pool because of the availability of the diving boards for open use, and the absence of the diving boards could therefore decrease swimming participation at Park Road. The diving club also provides a valuable (and over-subscribed) service for young people in the Crouch End area, the majority of whom, based on feedback received by Haringey Aquatics are unlikely to be able to travel to Tottenham Green to continue diving. At the meeting, the council and Fusion Lifestyle were asked a number of questions with respect to specific details of the business plan and the assumptions in it. The campaign awaits a detailed response on these points, and we aim to use this information to work in cooperation with the council and Fusion Leisure to identify options which could be financially viable while also retaining diving at Park Road, where it has been a fixture for the last 45 years.
