Haringey and Fusion Lifestyle's favoured proposal is to remove the diving boards from Park Road's purpose-built diving pit, relocate them to Tottenham Green Leisure Centre, where they would be located at the deep end of a 25m pool, and repurpose the Park Road diving pit entirely for non-diving use via a movable floor. While the campaign recognizes that such a solution would be preferable to the worst-case scenario of losing diving in the borough altogether, we do not believe that the local users of Park Road Leisure Centre have been adequately consulted on these new proposals to allow the value placed on different facilities at Park Road to be evaluated, and we also do not believe that the likely impact of such a move on overall pool use has been fully taken into account.
