The campaign to keep diving facilities at Park Road Leisure Centre has had a busy few days!. More than 1500 people have already signed the petition, and we have the support of both our local MPs (Lynne Featherstone and David Lammy), along with 4 Team GB OIympic divers (Leon Taylor, Peter Waterfield, Hayley Sage and Sarah Barrow ) and local resident comedian Paul Tonkinson. Two of the most tangible results of pressure from the campaign are firstly, that Haringey has now publicly posted a briefing document: http://www.haringey.gov.uk/leisure-services-improvements.htm providing additional information about the situation and how it came about, and secondly that Haringey Council and Fusion Lifestyle met with representatives of the campaign and other interested parties including Haringey Aquatics to discuss the briefing document and to respond to questions.
