On the positive side, Whitby notes that diving at Fulwell Cross Leisure Centre http://www.vision-rcl.org.uk/fullwell_home.html was successfully defended and survived the threatened introduction of a non-diving-compatible movable floor. The campaign is seeking to get a fuller understanding of how it came about that Fusion Lifestyle won the bid for the operation of Haringey's Leisure Centres on the basis of a tender that included cost-estimates for diving pool improvements at Park Road which proved to be several-fold too low, despite Fusion's extensive previous experience in this area.
