Mini-pigs are pets. Great pets! They are adorable, very smart, trainable, great little companions! Mini pigs have been breed over the years to be small. Outdated zoning regulations still have them falling under the category of livestock in Harford County. Mini-pigs are 1/3rd the size of a farm pig. Most counties across the nation have added an amendment to their zoning to allow for mini-pig breeds to be kept as pets. Harford County has not bothered to update it yet. Baltimore county has. I don't think it is fair that this great pet is not allowed due to a pointless, outdated zoning ordinance. On a personal note, I have 2 mini-pigs that I have been ordered to get rid of. We love our pet piggys and are heart broken to have to get rid of them. Please sign this petition to help me be able to keep my pets. Thank you, Tami and Family
