.    This wonderful island, which is situated in the area of La Spezia in the marvelous Poets’ Gulf, belonging to the Cetacean Sanctuary, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a Regional Natural Park, und thus one of the last unaltered places of the Ligurian seashore.  The President of the Ligurian Region  (Mr. Giovanni Toti) would like to transform it into a destination for wealthy tourists just like another Italian Island named “Capri”, threatening the island's environment through cement and structures built for VIPs. In this way nobody else will have the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of this island.

L'isola Palmaria in provincia della Spezia, nel meraviglioso Golfo dei Poeti, appartenente al Santuario dei Cetacei, Patrimonio UNESCO e Parco Naturale Regionale, rappresenta uno degli ultimi angoli di natura praticamente integri della costa ligure. Il presidente della Regione Liguria Toti vorrebbe trasformarla in una Capri ligure, facendo si che gli ambienti dell'isola vengano rovinati da cemento e turismo d'élite. In questo modo i semplici fruitori non avrebbero più la possibilità di godere delle bellezze naturali dell'isola.
