The Sand Beach ordinance which was enacted by Hancock County Board of Supervisors on 13 June 2014 prohibits animals of all types and fireworks on the beach.

We the people of Hancock County and tourists of the destination do want our pets and fireworks.

Change the language of the Sand Beach ordinance to allow pets and fireworks on our public sand beaches.
