Hampton high-school has way to many issues that restrict the student body ( as of recent events ). Let’s take up our concerns with the head and make a change.

Some basic changes that students wish to be made are as follows:

1. Early morning lunch room release doesn’t make students get to class early, it simply makes them wander the halls more before 8:15, defeating the purpose of releasing at 8:05. Students who get to school on buses also aren’t able to get breakfast because of how late breakfast opens and how early it closes.

2. Instead of cracking down on homeroom and students being in their designated homeroom, teachers should be able to verbally or virtually communicate in order to have students go to other homerooms, also don’t allow them to go to other lunches.

3. Most students who stay in the classroom during bathroom breaks are quiet and prefer to just continue to do their work with little chatter, even if the teacher is away or not. Keeping whole classes in the halls is a hastle for teachers and students, especially those who have a tendency to get overstimulated. It causes chaos and confusion when there’s whole classes in the halls at a time, during class, which means disruption of the learning environment.

4. Student council should be more accessible for students to voice their claims instead of going directly to the head. (especially for students with anxiety)
