Women’s bodies should not be a battlefield!

We are protesting in response to the disconcerting silence from women and women's rights organizations regarding the widespread and horrifying sexual assaults committed by Hamas during the attack on October 7, 2023. The deliberate torture and rape of women emerged as a key goal of the assault against Israel, and was vividly documented in videos and shared online by the perpetrators.

This campaign is directed at the leaders and supporters of the MeToo movement, whom we urge not to look the other way. Our fellow women have endured unspeakable acts at the hands of Hamas terrorists. We are deeply concerned for women of all ages held hostage by Hamas, facing imminent danger. Each passing day without a resolute demand for their immediate release exposes these women to further harm and horror.

By remaining silent, you are consenting to the Hamas ideology of violently assaulting and raping Jewish and Israeli women. 

#MeToo isn’t #RapeMeToo 

This is a collective call to action, inviting every woman, regardless of nationality or religion, to stand together against the brutality faced by our sisters. Let our collective voice be a powerful force for change and justice.

Your voice matters!

Would you add your signature to the open letter attached below, calling for solidarity with our women? Nothing justifies violating and assaulting women as part of a resistance. The letter will be displayed on a dedicated website and social networks.

By signing this petition, we stand united against terrorism, violence, and injustice. Together, let us work towards a world where women everywhere can live free from fear and terror.

On Wednesday, November 29, we will launch a campaign featuring a powerful black and white photo collage incorporating the images of executives and logos from each organization that ignored these horrible acts. Every organization that condemns these actions by December 21st, the darkest day of the year, will emerge from the darkness and be marked in pink on the campaign website.

This symbolic act is an invitation to collectively turn the shame of inaction into a source of pride for standing up against the horrors inflicted upon women by Hamas terrorists.

חתמו על העצומה ועל המכתב הפתוח. הפכו את החושך לאור!

הקמפיין קם לאור השתיקה של נשים ושל ארגוני זכויות נשים ברחבי העולם לתקיפה המינית רחבת ההיקף והזוועתית שבוצעה בנשים על ידי החמאס במתקפה ביום 7.10.2023. 

עינויים ואונס של נשים היוו יעד מרכזי בהתקפה נגד ישראל, כפי שתועד בסרטונים וברשתות על ידי המחבלים. 

מטרת הקמפיין היא לדרוש מאותם ארגוני זכויות נשים ואקטיביסטיות מובילות  שישמיעו את קולן ויגנו את הפגיעה בנשים , ויגנו את החמאס על הפיכת גופן של נשים ישראליות ויהודיות לשדה קרב.                                   

מאז ה-7.10.23 מוחזקות חטופות בידי ארגון טרוריסטי קיצוני שמאמין בפגיעה מינית שיטתית בנשים. כל יום שבו לא מושמעת זעקה לשחרורן חושף אותן לפגיעה נוספת. 

לאור האמור אנו מבקשים את חתימתך על העצומה  ועל המכתב הפתוח הקורא לעמוד לצד אותן נשים ע"י הוצאת גינוי פומבי מאותם ארגונים ונשים ברחבי העולם. 

אין כל הצדקה לפגיעה מינית בנשים כחלק משיטת לחימה. המכתב יופיע באתר וברשתות החברתיות של הקמפיין.

אנו קוראות לכל ארגוני זכויות הנשים בעולם, ראשי אוניברסיטאות מובילות, חברי וחברות הקונגרס האמריקאי ונציגי ונציגות האיחוד האירופי והאו"ם להוציא גינוי נחרץ על מעשי הזוועות שארגון הטרור חמאס ביצע בבנותינו, נשותינו ואחיותינו. 

במכתב הפתוח אנו משמיעות את קריאתנו לגנות באופן מיידי את הזוועות. במסגרת הקמפיין הצבנו את 21 בדצמבר 2023, שהוא היום הקצר והחשוך ביותר בשנה, כתאריך יעד לקבלת גינוי רשמי מכל אותם ארגונים. אנו תקווה שתצטרפו אלינו למאמצים להפעלת לחץ על אותם גורמים בכדי שביום החשוך בשנה נוכל להראות לעולם שנשים אינן נותנות יד לאונס ואלימות כלפי נשים אחרות,  ובכך לתת להם הזדמנות לצאת מן החשכה אל האור. 

הלוגואים והתמונות של אותם ארגונים, יופיעו באתר הקמפיין, כקולאז' של תמונות בשחור לבן.

כל ארגון שיוציא גינוי, הלוגו יסומן בורוד במקום שחור-לבן, ויצא מקולאז' הבושה.
