Halt Uncontrolled Tree Cutting and Address Water Problems in Waghbil and Kasarvadavli area
The Issue
We , ciitizens of the Waghbil and Kasarvadavli area, am witnessing a disturbing trend. The widespread tree cutting, unchecked development, and subsequent water problems have begun to diminish the quality of life in our community. This problem has now reached our doorstep and it's time we took a stand.
For far too long, unchecked development and infrastructure expansion have led to rampant tree felling—disturbing not only the natural aesthetics but also the ecological balance of Waghbil. We request the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) to enforce stricter regulations on this issue and take action against those flouting the rules.
Additionally, the spurt in the number of buildings has resulted in an unexpected side effect - an unprecedented water crisis. As more and more infrastructure crops up, the pressure on our already strained resources is mounting.
We understand progress and development are important for any city, but not at the cost of the quality of life. Responsible tree cutting and an effective water management system can coexist with a booming infrastructure.
We urge the TMC to not just look into, but act upon these issues at the earliest. Environmental consciousness and civic sense need to be the pillar for any form of development. A stitch now will save nine later.
We cannot stand by as our beloved community suffers. Please join us in directing TMC to combat these issues head-on and retain Waghbil's charm and resources. It's time to voice our plea: Save Waghbil. This issue might be local, but it echoes a global concern. Sign the petition today. Your signature can make a difference.
