I am personally moved to start this petition because I believe that the slaughtering of pigs is unnecessary. We live in a world where there are numerous alternatives to meat, and yet, we continue to kill these innocent creatures every day.

Moreover, our reliance on pig meat has significant environmental impacts. The FAO also reports that livestock farming contributes 14.5% of all human-induced greenhouse gas emissions, with pig farming being a substantial part.

We have a choice - we can choose plant-based or lab-grown meats instead of contributing to this cycle of unnecessary slaughter and environmental damage.

Let's make a change for these animals who don't have a voice in their fate; let's make a change for our planet which suffers under our dietary choices; let's make a change for ourselves by choosing healthier alternatives.
