Halt the Unjust Prosecution of an Innocent Black Man by Cleveland Authorities

Halt the Unjust Prosecution of an Innocent Black Man by Cleveland Authorities
The Issue
For four years, I lived in fear, terrorized by a convicted sex offender, Joshua Jackson Jr. This man, a 57-year-old resident of Cleveland, Ohio, subjected me to countless instances of stalking, harassment, and threats. His threats ranged from invasive promises of breaking into my home to terrifying claims of sexual violence. Despite the proof of his blatant disregard for an active order of protection, the City of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, and Cleveland Police acted negligently, incompetently, and failed miserably to provide the protection I sought.
The entity of concern, now, is not just Joshua Jackson Jr., but the city's justice apparatus and the individuals powered by it – particularly Judge Charles L. Patton, City Prosecutors who have chosen to prosecute and persecute an innocent black man, while Joshua Jackson Jr. , the Sex Offender roams free. The persecution paints a distressing picture of racial bias and miscarriage of justice evident in our society. Research supports these assertions, with studies suggesting that black men are more likely to be arrested and convicted compared to their white counterparts (NAACP, Criminal Justice Fact Sheet).
This petition demands an immediate stoppage on the illegal prosecution of the victim, Hasaan Musa. It also calls for a thorough investigation into the troubling handling of the situation related to Joshua Jackson Jr.'s threats and the City of Cleveland's subsequent failure in providing protection.
Now is the time to demand fairness, justice, and the pursuit of truth. Support this cause with your signature. Let us strive to make a difference, rectify this wrong, and bring about the justice that is too often denied. Please, sign this petition.
