Halt the Proposed Schedule Change for BVSD Schools

Halt the Proposed Schedule Change for BVSD Schools
The Issue
As students of BVSD schools, we are deeply concerned about the proposed schedule change. We believe it is not only detrimental to our academic pursuits but also our extra-curricular activities and infrastructure. The proposed change limits our class choices. It discourages diversification of academic experience, gravely impacting students' personal, academic, and future professional growth. Furthermore, clubs and organizations will find it difficult to operate, as students now have differing lunch breaks. This threatens the thriving culture of student engagement, leadership, creativity, and collaboration within our school community.
The proposed change significantly impacts those students aiming for an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. The IB diploma requires a certain amount of classes that would be hard, if not impossible, to get with the new schedule. This new schedule might debilitate the ability of these students to fulfill their desired educational pathway and future ambitions.
We urge the relevant authorities to revisit and change the proposed schedule change. A balance must be struck between operational needs and the best interests of the student body. Sign this petition today to stand against the unwanted schedule change for the BVSD schools. Please support us in maintaining our ability to pursue diverse academic courses, engage in extra-curricular activities and achieve our academic goals.
