The recent proposal to construct a new intersection at WoodCross Road/Davenport Road and 17 is not only a waste of resources amounting to a staggering $5.1 million but also poses safety concerns to the community. This project, as outlined, is unnecessary and unwarranted at such high costs. Instead, the community sees a much better, cost-effective solution to the traffic problem - a traffic light. A traffic light will adequately control traffic without causing disruption or a significant price tag. Reduce the speed from 60 mph to 45/50 mph a half mile from the intersection. It’s high time our resources were put to better use. Help us make our community safer and more financially responsible.
