As a concerned citizen and parent, I am deeply troubled by the government's whispers/threats to raise the pension age for UK citizens. This decision is not only unfair but also unnecessary. It is our government's mismanagement that has brought our country to its knees, leaving us with insufficient funds to support our services. The people of the UK did not ask for mass migration, nor did we approve of wasted COVID funds or global elitism that refuses to pay their fair share of taxes.

Our hard-earned money should be used wisely and responsibly by those in power, instead of being squandered on ill-conceived projects and policies. According to a report from The Guardian (2019), £97bn was wasted on failed public sector projects alone over five years.

The proposed increase in pension age is just another way for successive governments to avoid taking responsibility for their actions and pass the burden onto ordinary citizens like us. We should not have to work longer hours or delay retirement because of their mistakes.

I want a better future for my children and grandchildren - one where they are not forced into prolonged labour due to governmental failures. The time has come for us as a nation to say no more – never again should we bear the brunt of such negligence.
